ABOUT ME

I'm Jennifer, aka Jennifer SHADOW Cosplay, and I've been an Italian cosplayer since 2001.
My first costume was Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, and as a fan of videogames and retro games I have always dedicated myself mainly to characters taken from my favorite games sagas.
Although I have played famous characters, I prefer to propose cosplays of unpopular characters: I like to bring back memories and make people rediscover characters that have been forgotten, like Tia from Breakers, Samantha Everett from Gray Matter or Joanna Dark from the first Perfect Dark, all cosplays rarely interpreted on the web and in conventions.
With the exception of some costumes, I usually make my cosplays with improvised materials, paying as much attention to detail as possible.
I create all my photo sets myself: from posing to self-timer photography, up to taking care of image editing.
I like to create fantastic pics, replace backgrounds to immerse my characters in their settings and give atmosphere like they came out of a movie!

I am not a professional cosplayer, although I have been published in magazines and websites, and I make my costumes mainly for myself.
I am a reserved, very sensitive and shy person, and I don't like notoriety, which contradicts myself with cosplaying and performing!
I tend to want to stay in the shadows (as my nickname suggests) and direct my work to those who can appreciate it.
I consider myself an artist and a graphic designer before being a cosplayer, and today for me cosplay has become a means of creating illustrations!

In addition to cosplay and videogames (of which I have been a collector since 1994), I love drawing both traditionally and digitally, dedicating myself to post production, painting, creating sculptures, photography, board games, Lego, reading comics and books, watching anime and TV series, exploring places in nature, cooking, I love dark and gothic fashion and I love cats and birds.
